With Christmas on the horizon and New Year around the corner, Nicholas and I have been reflecting on everything we have witnessed and achieved in 2017.
We can confirm that all our projects this year have been successfully completed or well on their way.
We have just returned from visiting WWT Caerlaverock to see the Artful Migration artist in residence work (Angela Alexander-Lloyd) based on the whooper swan migration from Iceland to Dumfries.
Otherwise all the carnival projects, Circus Magic and Daksha Sheth Dance Company projects are now complete so take a look at these highlights!
Into 2018 and beyond…plus take a little rest to enjoy the sites!
I will be going to India (Trivandrum, Karnataka and Jaipur Literature Festival) to research future partnerships for Moving Souls Dance in 2018 and beyond.

Here are our highlights from 2017:
Shane Shambhu
1. Shane Shambhu brought the house down with his hypnotising performance in his show “Confessions of a Cockney Temple Dancer’ . We cannot wait to see what 2018 holds.
Subhash Viman
2. Subhash Viman mesmerised the audiences with his powerful and intimate movement in the premiere of “Game Changer”. His audiences were hypnotised by him and so were we, 2018 will be a very exciting year for Subhash – watch this space!
50th Anniversary Leeds Carnival
3. We were honoured to accompany Ace Dance & Music to the 50th Anniversary of Leeds Carnival where they were crowned with the prestigious award of Best Troupe 2017.
Summer Programme
4. The summer intensive programme with Circus Magic saw amateurs become pros in their summer intensive workshop, with fire breathing and stilt walking, it was one we simply couldn’t miss out on.
Daksha Sheth Dance Company
5. The Daksha Sheth Dance Company stole our hearts in their moving and incredible performance of “Sari”.
The Birmingham Weekender Festival
6. The Birmingham Weekender Festival was an unforgettable experience, which celebrated different cultures, different dance troupes, entertainers and talents. We feel so blessed to have been a part of it.
Angela Alexander-Lloyd
7. Angela Alexander-Lloyd is observing the family groupings who have brought over their cygnets this year (some pairs have come with 5 Cygnets) and some are 17 years old. Take a look at these photos taken from her Facebook page to see the beauty of these creatures known as the Vikings of the swan family! We are excited to see what Angela will create for an exhibition on the site of WWT Caerlaverock in April-May 2018.
All in all, it’s been a pretty successful year and well 2018 promises to be one too! So, Bring It On!
