Moving Souls Dance


Souls Dance will be working with North Birmingham Alliance (NBA); Ace dance and music and Newhampton Arts Centre to co create Carnival, dance and outdoor events over the summer of 2023.

The following events will be covered with training and development support to 2 producers to work with NBA partners to co-create these events.

14thJuly: Dance & Carnival schools festival with Black Country Dance Hub in Walsall Art Gallery

5 August: B2023 Festival – Carnival costume & live music with ACEDM youth & adult groups in Centenary Square

6 August: Windrush 70th anniversary with ACEDM / Black Voices at National Arboretum (

13th August 1 day Same Difference Festival at NAC

26 August: NBA Doorstep Carnival GRS, Perry Barr Birmingham

27 August: Birmingham Weekender ACEDM Carnival Costume & dance procession with Hippodrome Theatre    (



Producer development opportunity for two early career project managers in outdoor arts & carnival events
